Niki Newd® Skin Cream is re-writing the history of moisturizing creams. When a cream contains water (aqua), it is usually preserved with alcohol and preservatives. However, using those in our products is against our fundamental values. We want to support the skin's own microbiome. Therefore we have decided to solve the matter differently - we store the moisturizer in the fridge instead of room temperature. How cool, genius and simple is that? Just like freshly squeezed orange juice!
Active nutrients
Vitamin C inhibits the oxidation of cell tissues by reacting with free radicals. Many enzymatic reactions, like synthesis of collagen, require the presence of vitamin C. Vitamin C has been discovered to inhibit the visible signs of aging skin, hyperpigmentation, and erythema caused by UV-radiation.
Vitamin E, a powerful antioxidant, shields skin from harmful free radicals that attack proteins like collagen.
Beta-carotene as Pre-retinol, as natural precursor to vitamin A, absorbs into the skin and is partly stored as retinyl esters—ready-to-use vitamin A that supports collagen production. Its strong antioxidant properties protect the skin from UV-induced damage, helping to maintain a smooth, firm, and even-toned complexion.
Omega 3 fatty acid treats, softens, and reduces inflammation, redness, and swelling caused by UV radiation. It protects the skin from the sun and prevents signs of aging, and can lighten hyperpigmented skin.
Omega 9 fatty acid increases skin permeability, enhances absorption, inhibits inflammation, promotes wound healing, and softens the skin.
Omega 7 fatty acid moisturizes, acts as an antimicrobial, inhibits melanin synthesis, and prevents UV induced hyperpigmentation.
Omega 6 fatty acid protects cells from oxidation, reduces inflammation, accelerates tissue repair, is antibacterial, and reduces skin dehydration.
Carotenoids protect the cell structures from the negative effects of oxidation.
Phytosterols protect the skin from damage caused by UV-radiation and enhance the synthesis of collagen.
Flavonoids work as chelates and antioxidants. Flavonoids that function as chelates inhibit the deterioration of natural collagen by binding the metal ions that most degrading proteins require.
